The Jackson Parks and Rec is back with another free concert for the family at the Jackson Band Shell on August 30th at 7:30p! This time it’s the music of Pink Floyd with Echoes of Pompeii. You can bring your chair, blanket, and food or drink and enjoy a night out with the family -all for free! Food trucks will also be on-site so you can purchase food. Echoes of Pompeii is comprised of an 11 piece band (orchestra) to give fans the true sound of a Pink Floyd concert. From synthesizers, delayed vocals, slide guitars and female backup singers, they leave no stone unturned, when it comes to their sound. This Pink Floyd tribute from Gary, Indiana, is made up of regular hard working members, who come together on stage to perform the best music, from the best band rock and roll has produced in the past 50 years.
They will grab you with their state of the art visuals such as lasers, lights, video, and iconic images that Pink Floyd was well known to produce. They play all eras of Pink Floyd from the early Syd Barrett days, to the later exclusion of the Roger Waters era, and everything in between. You will not want to miss this band as they are all professional and serious when it comes to their favorite music as they take command of the stage. So please take your seat, buckle up and get ready to take flight!
