Whitney Thomas

Music has always been my first love. When I was a kid, my dad would make me cassette copies of all his favorite albums, and I still have them to this day. His taste in music was eclectic, and that passion rubbed off on me early. Naturally, that love for music led me straight to radio.

I landed my first radio gig in 1996 while attending college, working the graveyard shift part-time. I was spinning music, taking late-night requests, and connecting with listeners who were winding down after a night out. It was pure fun—and I was instantly hooked.

Working in radio has given me the chance to experience some incredible live shows over the years, and it’s rare for me to ever pass up live music. I’ve seen legendary artists more times than I can count, and some of my favorite concerts have been unforgettable moments that only live music can create. I even once paid a compliment to a very famous artist that made him blush—still one of my favorite stories.

Being on the radio has never felt like a job to me. It feels like home. I love starting the day with listeners, sharing great music, stories, and laughs, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Don’t be afraid to reach out, join the conversation, and let’s have some fun together.

Sorry, nothing found.
